Precautions for installation of profile radiators

Aluminum profiles have stretchability and conductivity that steel and iron do not have

Aluminum profiles have stretchability and conductivity that steel and iron do not have, and are widely used in various fields. In order to ensure the efficient work efficiency of aluminum profiles, it is necessary to pay attention to some installation precautions when installing aluminum radiators.

Methods/Steps

1. In order to ensure good contact between the power component and the radiator, the use of insulating pads should be avoided as much as possible, and the contact surface between the power component and the radiator should be smooth and smooth. Since it is difficult for the housing of the power component to be closely combined with the radiator, there will always be an invisible air gap, so the contact surface should be coated with silicone grease to improve the contact effect and facilitate heat dissipation.

2. When insulation is required between the shell of the power component and the radiator, an insulating pad should be installed, but the thickness of the insulating pad must be between 0.08 and 0.12mm.

3. Power components shall be fastened to the middle of the radiator with spring washers and screws.

4. In order to increase the heat radiation capacity of the radiator, coloring treatment is generally carried out, and this high radiation coating cannot be damaged during installation.

5. The radiator should be installed vertically, not too close to other components to facilitate air convection, especially not close to components that generate heat and are afraid of heat.

6. The radiator should be installed outside the casing as much as possible. When the radiator is installed in the machine, sufficient ventilation holes should be opened on the casing near the radiator, and a fan should be added to force convection cooling if necessary.

7, the choice of plate heat dissipation, should not choose too thin plate, its thickness should be between 2~5mm.

8. If the power dissipation of the power component is greater than 50W, a micro fan should be selected for forced convection cooling. At this time, the radiator area can be appropriately reduced by 2 to 4 times.
